CALI TRIP TO SAN DIEGO AND LOS ANGELES

James and I just came back from visiting California!  We traveled with our friends Dave and Angela, and were totally go, go, go!

Our hotel in SD (Courtyard Marriott in Gaslamp) was a very cool spot.  It used to be a bank in the 1920's and had a lot of the old bank feel.  The check in desk were the bank tellers and their conference room was the original bank vault!  I love history!

On Sat we went to the San Diego Zoo and a Mexican restaurant in Old Town with Sandra and the family.

On Sun we went to the San Diego Church of Christ "Mission" Easter service, La Jolla to see the seals, and experienced our first earthquake during Easter dinner at my friend Emily's mom's home.  (Unfortunately the one that hit Mexicali, Mexico was a 7.2).

On Mon we went to see our friend Ashley come back from deployment and took a tour of his ship, and then went on the Old Town Trolley Tour seeing all the sights of San Diego.  Then we went to dinner at Il Fornaio with Emily and her dad in Coronado.

On Tuesday, my friend Angela and I hung out in Mission Beach while James and Dave went on a fishing tour to Mexico.  Then we headed to LA.

On Wednesday, we got up early to get tickets for the Price is Right and then we toured Hollywood - Graumann's Chinese Theater and the Stars on the Walk of Fame.  Then, we hit up the Price is Right!  You will have to watch on May 10th on CBS to see if Drew called one of us to COME ON DOWN!

Afterwards, we hit Hollywood back up and saw Bounty Hunter at the Mann's theater.  Also shopped at the Hollywood and Highland Center Shops.

On Thursday, we visited Santa Monica and went to the Pier.  We also went to Beverly Hills to drive down Rodeo drive in our Mustang convertible!

Then, it was head back to San Diego.  We wanted to catch dinner in Little Italy with Ashely and his family before we had to head back to VA.  We took a red-eye flight back to VA, which was good because we were able to sleep!
